Care & Aftercare

Planting Your Bulb:

• Plant your Amaryllis bulb in well-draining soil, leaving the top third of the bulb exposed.
• Place in a bright spot with indirect sunlight.
• Water sparingly until growth begins.

Growing & Blooming:

• Expect sprouts in 4–6 weeks, depending on variety and environment.
• Once stems appear, water when the soil feels dry but avoid overwatering.
• Fertilize lightly every 2–4 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
• Support tall stems if needed to prevent bending.

Aftercare (Post-Bloom):

• Once flowers fade, cut the flower stalks, but leave the leaves intact.
• Continue to water and fertilize leaves to allow the bulb to store energy for next season.
• When leaves yellow and die back naturally, reduce watering and store the bulb in a cool, dry place for 8–12 weeks to encourage dormancy.
• Replant the bulb in fresh soil when ready for the next growth cycle.

Tips:

• Amaryllis bulbs thrive indoors or outdoors after frost risk has passed.
• Avoid overwatering and soggy soil to prevent bulb rot.

Shipping

We carefully process and ship all orders within one to four business days to ensure you receive the freshest products possible.

Please Note: Delivery dates are estimates provided by the carrier. Once your package leaves our warehouse, we cannot guarantee the exact arrival date. Weather and other unexpected delays may impact delivery times.

To protect our live plants, we do not ship on Fridays. This prevents bulbs from being stored over the weekend in uncontrolled environments that may expose them to extreme heat or cold.

We also do not ship on weekends or U.S. holidays to ensure the best possible care during transit.

Our bulbs are shipped in compact packaging for efficiency and easy storage. To maintain their quality:

• Open your package immediately upon receipt.
• Inspect your order for accuracy and condition.
• If you notice any issues, please contact us within 2 days of delivery by replying to your order confirmation email.

When certain varieties or sizes are unavailable, substitutions that closely match your original order may be made to ensure timely delivery.

Important: Bloomaker is not responsible for damage to bulbs during transit or for lost or stolen packages.

Local Pickup

We’re happy to offer local pickup at Bloomaker! Here’s how it works:

• Order Cutoff: Place your order before 2:00 PM on a business day.
• Same-Day Pickup: Your order will be ready the same day between 4:00–5:00 PM.
• Pickup Window: Please pick up your order within 2 business days of purchase. We will have to cancel your order if it has not been picked up within 2 business days of purchase.
• Location: Orders can be picked up directly at our Bloomaker facility in Waynesboro, VA at Building 2. Follow the signs “Online Local Pick Up“

When you arrive, ring the bell, someone will open the door and simply give us your order number, and we’ll have your blooms ready.
