  • Waxed Amaryllis bulbs do not require any water because the bulbs contain all the water and nutrients they need to flower. Simply place them on a tabletop or any other flat surface in your home.

Keep your Amaryllis in a well-lit room, but avoid direct sunlight. Rotate it every couple of days to help it grow straighter.

For optimal performance, place your waxed Amaryllis in a well-lit room with temperatures between 60-75ยฐF (15-24ยฐC). Avoid exposing it to extreme cold, drafts, or direct sunlight. Placing it near a drafty window or in very cold conditions may impact its growth.

  • No. Waxed Amaryllis do not require any water because the bulbs contain all the water and nutrients they need to flower.

Simply place them on a tabletop or any other flat surface in your home. Waxed Amaryllis should be kept in a well-lit room while avoiding direct sunlight. Rotating the bulb every couple of days will help it grow straighter.

  • Please know that every bulb grows at its own rate, and we have no way of controlling when they will actually bloom. Waxed Amaryllis bulbs usually grow at least two stems over 4-5 weeks, producing multiple flowers per stem over the next 3-4 weeks. Blooms should be expected in 8 to 9 weeks after purchase. Some can take even a little longer, around 10 โ€“ 12 weeks.

We always recommend trimming withered blooms to promote further growth and to keep the Amaryllis in a well-lit room but avoid direct sunlight. Giving the bulb plenty of natural light will stimulate growth. Rotate it every couple of days to help it grow straighter.

While every effort has been made to describe these plants accurately, please note that the height, bloom time, bloom count and color may differ in various climates.

  • Amaryllises are perishable live plants and they will definitely start to grow if you hold them in a box and leave them at room temperature.

Our regular Amaryllis bulbs are ready to be planted as soon as they arrive. Our waxed Amaryllises are ready to grow as soon as they arrive (between 4 to 12 weeks depending on the variety and circumstances).

Anywhere at 41 to 47 degrees might slow down development, but it is not recommended to store the bulbs for too long. Bloomaker cannot guarantee the quality of the blooms after the bulbs have been stored.

If you decide to store the bulbs it is important not to store the bulbs near ripening fruit. Ethylene gas given off by the ripening fruit can damage the bulbs.

Also, make sure they do not reach subzero temperatures as Amaryllis bulbs do not survive frost.

  • No, you wonโ€™t find any Bloomaker Waxed Amaryllis bulbs with a metal stand. The metal stand is something we tried in the very beginning, but we have now perfected our process and have found that our footers are the better option. The footer is more stable and it does not damage nor does it reduce the quality of the waxed bulbs.

On top of that, no metal stand means no scratches on your lovely furniture!

  • The Amaryllis grows toward the sun. Rotating the plant weekly during its growth will help ensure that the plant grows straighter.
