If you are already familiar with Bloomaker flowers, you know that you can find them at various heights in stores.

These heights coincide with the flowers’ life stages and can help you understand when each flower will bloom. This information can help you better decide which height/stage is the best for you based on when you would like to see blooms! Below, we break down how you can use the height of tulips relative to their vases to determine their proximity to blooming.

Below the Rim of the Vase:

When tulips are below the vase’s rim, they are most likely not yet budding. So, they are 2-3 weeks away from producing blooms. If you want to watch the life cycle of the tulip, and are comfortable waiting for the bloom, this is a great stage to buy your tulips!

At the Rim of the Vase:

Blooms will arrive in about a week. Along with the stalks now being taller, you should see budding flowers during this phase. If you want a shorter wait for the blooms, buy your tulips during this phase.

Blooming Over the Rim:

The blooms have arrived! This blooming period typically lasts around a week. So, if you are ready to display blooms, or need them for an event/gathering, this is the perfect time to purchase your tulips.
